Valarie Smith

John and I helped start Goodness Family Church, and it’s been an honor to grow with it from the beginning.

Before that, I worked in Human Resources and served in children’s ministry while attending Bible school. Today I serve as Administrator and pastor alongside John.

My background in business supports the day-to-day, but my heart is with people. As a life and mental health coach, I walk with others through transitions and soul care. I also help lead our Family Ministries team.

I’m a lifelong learner and always willing to grow to meet the needs of our church. I love to read, hike and bake when I can. I’m grateful to do life and ministry with John and our three amazing adult kids.

I like to add a little fun by slipping movie or book quotes into conversations. And when someone spells my name right, it’s a small thing that makes me feel seen.
